Welcome to The Atavist Filipina Relationship Forums.
New Forums July 2006 - the original forums were hacked and everything lost so after a break of almost 12 months we are starting our forums again.
The forums are created for those interested in relationships with women from the Philippines. The forum purpose is to promote better understanding between couples, and to enable
individuals to make better decisions by giving them access to information & experience of others.
We also welcome those contemplating or just beginning their relationship. You may
have only questions and feel that your lack of knowledge on the subject of intercultural relationships means that you have little to contribute. Nothing could be further from the truth. You
questions are equally as important as the information provided in responses they will receive.
There are no absolute right and wrong answers – only opinions. This forum is meant
to provide people with more information on which to make their own decisions, and not offer specific advice. Be aware that many responses are likely to formulated as specific advice. What
works for someone else may not be appropriate to your situation. Consider any advice given and make your own decision.
The focus is on creating information that can be used in a
positive way to improve relationships. Ironically exploring conflict or relationship failure can provide great insight and help others avoid similar mistakes. Thus the forums include the
discussions of negative aspects of Intercultural relationships.
I am also keen to bring balance to the depiction of Western males as the antagonist and the Filipina female as the
innocent victim in conflict and failed relationships. I can do this from the unique perspective of being in a very successful relationship having observed but not experienced much of the
conflict and relationship failure that might be discussed.
I also want the forum to include very positive discussion of inter-cultural relationships. One of the first topic
discussions I set posed the questions why do you like Filipina women. Let’s also hear all the good stuff about relationships with Filpina women. I could easily fill the screen with
accolades about my wife and our relationship – all I need is a little encouragement.
