I found my Filipina Dream girl in 1987 and have been with her since. So what would I know about searching for Filipina today? So much has
apparently changed but fundamentally things are still the same.
When I was communicating with my future wife I did so via snail mail waiting between 4 and 6 weeks for a
reply. The telephone system was expensive and very unreliable. More often than not I could not get through.
Today we have the internet and live chat. Many Filipina now
have Cel phones and are easily contactable. Everyone is also much better informed. In some way the information age and communication technology have taken away some of the
romance.
Match making has become a big business. There are hundreds of sites out there wanting to sell you memberships or lists of ladies to communicate with. More Filipinas
than ever before are looking for foreign men.
There are also more scammers out there than ever before. There are girls (and gays or ladyboys) that actually make a living off the
Internet sucking in lonely guys. Some make as much as 50,000 per month, which is many times the average month salary. With so much at stake the scammers are ruthless and very good
at what they do.
Finding the Filipina of your dreams has in some ways become harder despite cheaper travel and improved communication. I am glad I don’t have to start my
search today.
